 The New York Power Authority (NYPA) will host its 32nd annual Wildlife Festival on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 22-23, from 10 a.m.–5 p.m. The family event is held at the Niagara Power Vista and its surrounding grounds at 5777 Lewiston Road, Lewiston, N.Y. Parking is free and will be available in the Power Vista parking lot as well as adjacent parking lots at Niagara University. The Niagara County Federation of Conservation Clubs (NCFCC) co-sponsors the popular event that hosts more than 50 exhibitors and vendors, various wildlife shows, archery, fishing pond, shooting trailer, and more. Get hands-on experience in outdoor activities. Exhibitors include the NYS DEC, NYS Parks, area scouts and conservation groups. Learn about conservation and renewable energy and enjoy wildlife shows with The Primate Sanctuary, Nickel City Reptiles and Exotics and Hawk Creek. Sign-up for the Kids Fishing Derby and enjoy a festival scavenger hunt. In addition to the festival activities, guests are invited to enjoy the all-new state-of-the-art exhibits at the Niagara Power Vista. Visitors can take a seat in a 4-D theatre virtual roller coaster ride, create a transmission distribution system on a one-of-a-kind transmission grid table, build a dam or simulate the coordination of power across the state during bad weather. Parking and admission are free at the Power Vista. Guests can also board the Discover Niagara Shuttle stopping at attractions located between Niagara Falls and Youngstown.
